Help us win ...

When we found out we were having a boy, I had a really hard time finding bedding in the stores around here that I liked.  I looked at a ton of places online as well, and eventually decided to go with a custom bedding boutique in Alabama, Polka ToT Designs!  They did such a great job, and I couldn't have been happier.  Dean's bedding even made their website!  Well, they are doing a Summer Nursery Contest on Facebook for their customers; you simply have to submit a picture of your child's nursery showing their bedding, and of course we entered Dean's room.  Biased as we may be, we think his is definitely the best.  Pete & I (with the help of my dad) spent a lot of hours hanging chair rail & crown molding, painting (several times b/c I wasn't happy with the colors we initially purchased ... haha) and working on the mural!  So, if you have a Facebook account, PLEASE help us out!  All you have to do is search "Polka ToT Designs" & like their page, and then like the picture of Dean's nursery on their page (either on their wall or on their photos page) ...

Your help is much appreciated!

How I am I able to sneak in all of these blog posts lately, you ask?  Well, I finally have Dean on a pretty good napping schedule, but this morning, this little stinker feel asleep playing ...

The Defense rests Your Honor ...

So, the defense rested today in the Casey Anthony trial ... thank goodness!  I was really getting tired of hearing Jose Baez's BS!  He is a joke & has done a terrible job.  He hasn't really built a case; he has been all over the place, and I hate the way he keeps badgering George Anthony!  I feel so bad for him & loved it when he stood up to Baez yesterday.  Did you notice Casey's smirk has her dad got down from the stand & had to be helped by attorneys because he was so distraught?  All the while, she just sits there like stone - no emotion unless they are talking about her!  I am very disappointed that she did not testify though ...

On the other hand, I think the State has done a very good job.  I mean, it says a lot that they have 330something pieces of evidence & the defense has less than 80; don't you think?  They had stronger witnesses & a stronger case, and they were able to rebut a lot of what the defense witnesses said & show how it related back to Casey.  As my friend Joelle said was her favorite part today ...

"Linda Drane Burdick on cross direct to Cindy after all the stupid animal burial crap - 'Cindy did your family ever euthanize your dogs with chloroform?'

Defense- objection! ...

Linda- As she looks up trying to hide the sarcasm as if she doesn't get the objection.

Nice move Linda nice move!"

The prosecution will deliver their rebuttal tomorrow, and they are expected to rest tomorrow, as the rebuttal should be streamlined & short.  Then, it is closing arguments & jury deliberation.  I hope they finish the trial tomorrow & the jury deliberates over the weekend.  I am ready to hear the verdict already.  I do not think she will get the death penalty; however, I do not think there is any way she will get off.

This case absolutely breaks my heart, but for some reason it has me so intrigued.  I guess I am just passionate about the fact that there is  no way she should be allowed to get away with this although she seems to think that she will ... that the whole world believes all of her awful lies ... ugh!

Here is a picture of my sweet little guy listening to the case with me yesterday as he works on his neck muscles & stability in his Bumbo ...

3 months, a trip to the beach & Mr. Sean McConnell ...

Mr. Sean McConnell ... WoW!  I LOVE this guy.  We found out very last minute that he was playing at Main Street Crossing in Tomball, so of course we wanted to go.  Gammie (my mom) watched Dean & we had a quick but wonderful date night.  Main Street is a cute venue, very intimate, but I would say that Dosey Doe is still, by far, my favorite.  One of my favorite things about Sean is that he always tells the stories behind the songs, and he is very funny ... he is a very big Believer in God which is apparent in a lot of his music.  I can't wait for his next CD to come out.  He will be back at Dosey Doe Aug 18; we leave that day for the river for our 4th Annual Friopalooza, but if you have the chance to go, you should definitely go see him!

This man was SO sweet.  He had to be 90+ years old.  He greeted everyone at the door & was just having a grand ol' time ... I just couldn't help but snap a picture of him.
Last Thursday our little man turned 3 months old!  It is strange how time seems to go by so fast & it has already been three months, yet it seems like he has been here forever; I can't imagine life without him!
I LOVE this picture ... he looks like he is being mischevious!
Dean - At three months old, you ...
- still eat every 2-3 hours; however, you may be starting to go through a growth spurt b/c sometimes it is every hour and a half
- go back & forth from sleeping through the night (9p-6a) and getting up once at night (usually betweeen 3a-5a) ... hence possibly a growth spurt!
- are a happy, happy baby!  You smile & laugh & babble on & on with me all day long!  It brings me so much joy!
- are starting to do a little better with tummy time; you are holding yourself up, but you still do not like it very much ... I hope we are turning a corner with this!
- enjoy the morning time by entertaining yourself with your playmat & singing catepillar
- love your Daddy so much!  You get so happy when he comes home & even wake up if you are in your swing when you hear his voice!
- are the apple of my eye!

Peter was off work last Friday, so we packed up & headed to Galveston for the day with Coco.  It was an absolultely beautiful day, but Dean didn't care too much for the wind, so we just walked the seawall, shopped & had lunch!  Next year he will be running around all over the place!

And, one last picture to leave you with ... Dean with his Aunt Ding Ding (my best friend Lindsey) after Haley's birthday party on Saturday ...
